This musical duo is formed by Nita & Ale Acosta. The name of the group fuses the two worlds which unite their music: Fuel, the gasoline of machines, samplers, electronic music, and on the other hand, the Fandango, flamenco music. In their songs they sing in English because of the language’s musicality, but they mix in Spanish, not only because it is part of their roots, but also to make theirs a national as well as an international project.
Jesús Rafael García Hernández, better known as Rafael Amargo (Valderrubio, Granada) is a Spanish dancer and choreographer.
He has deep knowledge of the purest essences of flamenco, but has also simultaneously assimilated other tendencies. His choreographies, sometimes very close to contemporary dance styles, never lose their connection to the essence of flamenco.
Although an admirer of Antonio Gades and a defender of the concept of the dance company, and a theatrical and scenic conception of flamenco, this has not kept him from dancing in tablaos (flamenco nightclubs) or researching the world of contemporary dance.
Rafael Amargo and his productions have been awarded with (among others) four Max Prizes for the Performing Arts, the Leonide Massine Positano Dance Prize as dancer and choreographer, and the APDE Prize. He was also given El Pais de las Tentaciones’ Audience Award for the Best Dance Production for Amargo (2000) and Poeta en Nueva York (2002), which was also chosen as Best Production of the Decade.

Since its foundation, the AMPOS association has dedicated its efforts to supporting musicians and improving their status, their work and legal conditions, etc. For that reason, among other activities, AMPOS has organized concerts which have enlisted the participation of musicians from all of the Spanish orchestras. The enthusiasm all these musicians have shown at every performance reaches the audience and makes each event very special. Since the “TODOS SOMOS MÚSICA” (WE’RE ALL MUSIC) concert, celebrated in Barcelona’s Auditori, the AMPOS orchestra has gone on to perform, in support of our profession, in Madrid, Córdoba, Palma, etc. Now the orchestra is augmenting its area of action by putting its support at the service of other initiatives as praiseworthy as that represented by MADWOMENFEST.
